Translucent/ Glass Paradise

Design notion is to provide transparency from outside to inside through frontage.

  • This modern façade seems to have become a popular material of choice for high-end homes
  • The home brings the outside and inside world together, with extensive usage of glass. Aside from a central service core, the layout is primarily open plan, with the rear living area opening out an entertaining deck arena, amplifying solar passive benefits, and drawing in desirable light.
  • Glass acts as a primary design element in connecting the interiors and exteriors of the house. The home interiors also become an important component in defining the overall look. The glass helps in achieving a sense of transparency in the house.
  • The home is an epitome of super-modern geometric linear design. The focal point of the façade residence is the front cube corner. Cradling this are two elongated, rectangular windows.
  • As you enter you face a glass tower containing a floorless, double-height well of light from the skylight above it, and directly behind this, you will notice the single-stringer stairs that seem to suspended and float in open space. This main foyer staircase has a liberating and therapeutic effect. Large glass windows bring in an abundance of natural day light and spacious feels.
